Ubuntu Countdown Button and Script.
This design aims to be as simple and like the Ubuntu site's design as possible.
Feel free to change it to your liking.
It is rendered in a HTML5 canvas element so Javascript and a modern browser is needed to view it.
Because the banner is rendered by javascript, it works with any date before and after the release.

Currently set to the Ubuntu 11.04 release date, to make basic changes:
Line 24: var secLeft = new Date("28 april 2011").getTime() - new Date().getTime();
Replace "28 april 2011" with any date so long as it is in the same format. e.g.: "10 march 2011" or "12 december 2012"
Line 54: ctx.fillText("11.04",canvas.width-5,20);
Replace "11.04" with whatever text you can fit in the top right.
